FDA Approved Permanent Treatment Of Cellulite

Hormones and genetics play an essential role in developing cellulite in your skin. 90% of women experience cellulite in their buttocks and thigh area. Cellulite is usually found as dimples on these areas and is an impression due to fibrous bands tethering under the skin; these fibrous bands are called septa. Septa may stiffen or shrink due to aging or fat deposition, leading to dimpling on the surface and forming cellulite.

Aging will make the skin loose and thin, and the cellulite will become more visible. Weight gain can also make cellulite worse. However, it is still seen in women with slim bodies, too.

Inflexible septa bands push the small fat portions upward on the skin surface, emphasizing a puckered appearance. Though a good diet plan and exercise can play a role in decreasing fat, it cannot do anything with the structure under the skin. Therefore, it is said that weight loss or gain is not a solution for cellulite. Cellulite is mostly found in the buttocks and thighs. It is more common in women than in men, and studies report that a significant number of women face cellulite after puberty.

Aveli is a permanent cellulite treatment.

The Aveli treatment uses a handheld device, targets manually, and cleaves a complex group of septa bands, causing cellulite dimples. The treatment procedure targets cellulite in the following steps:

  • Surgeon inserts the Aveli device under the skin and targets dimples
  • Identifies the septa bands that cause dimples and releases them precisely
  • Confirms the release and ensures you smoother and younger skin.
  • This minimally invasive in-office procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Cellulite dimples are popped out from the buttocks and thighs. The area is first numbed, and a small incision is made in the skin to insert the Aveli cannula. The dimple is released by cleaving the septa.

Aveli treatment is meant for the permanent removal of cellulite in the buttocks and thigh areas. Compared to men, women are more prone to cellulite dimples in their fundamental structures. Patients may feel mild pain, tenderness, and bruising within the first 24 hours, which will be resolved within a week. They may return to daily activities within a day of the procedure.

Who should not undergo Aveli treatment?

Though Aveli offers impressive results for most people, there are also some exceptions. Clinical studies say patients who want this procedure should have good skin elasticity. Women with a lot of skin laxity might experience wrinkling and will not respond to this procedure.

Cellulite on the banana roll cannot be removed as cleaving these fibrous bands may lead to issues with skin drooping as these bands provide support for the skin.

Persons should not undergo this treatment if they are:

  • Diabetic
  • Pregnant
  • Have coagulant disorders
  • Undergone any surgery recently
  • Experience severe anemias
  • Have skin infections and open lesions
  • Tumours
  • Experience uncontrolled hypertension
  • Have varicose veins in treatment area
  • Minor side effects of Aveli treatment

Though this one-time permanent cellulite treatment does not include downtime for most patients, it brings some mild side effects, such as bruising, mild pain, and tenderness to touch, usually resolving within one week.
